chamber & orchestral percussionist

Kevin Rank is a percussionist operating in Dallas. He holds degrees from Southern Methodist University as well as Rutgers University and has been featured as a guest artist and clinician in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. As an educator, he is passionate about cultivating a love for classical music in his students. Selected performances include the premier performance of the SYZYGYsmusic ensemble, WorldFest in Addison, Evenings at the Crow Collection of Asian Art with the Meadows World Music Ensemble and Meadows at the Winspear with the Meadows Symphony Orchestra. Kevin also performed with Drew Lang on the world premier of Bradley Bodine’s Namaste: Concerto for Marimba and Percussion Ensemble. He has been involved with regional orchestras such as the Crescent Concert Series, the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving, the Allen Philharmonic and the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with She-e Wu, Chris Deviney, Rolando Morales-Matos and Jamal Mohamed.

Kevin performed Osvaldo Golijov’s Mariel for Cello and Marimba (1999)
in the [Untitled] Festival’s first concert TIME on November 28, 2012.

He will also perform John Luther Adams’s The Farthest Place
in the [Untitled] Festival’s concert DREAMING on March 28, 2012.
